The technical on-site assessment by the CNP

With the aim of verifying the correct connectivity and configuration of the installed sensors.

Sensors installed on the main conveyor belt

It directly receives the material processed by the primary crusher and feeds the entire plant.

This conveyor belt was chosen for its operational relevance, as it constitutes the nerve center of the mineral transport system, operating daily and continuously during the productive day.

Its high workload and criticality in the process chain make it an ideal scenario for evaluating sensor performance.

This pilot project allowed on-site monitoring of moving conveyor belts, thanks to sensors that provide real-time information on the temperature and vibration of the rollers on the conveyor belt.

The monitoring capabilities and performance of this technology, designed to anticipate anomalies before they become critical failures in mining operations, are being evaluated.

With this milestone at Minera San Pedro, we are moving towards smarter, safer, and more sustainable mining technology. We are taking another step towards preventative mining with the installation of the Live Conveyor system for PPI (Preventive Protection Instruments).
